Mollie’s New Orleans 18’ wide shotgun was torn down to the ground and given a major overhaul full of modern farmhouse style! Mollie’s 1 bedroom, 1 bath 750 square foot shotgun lacked the space and amenities she desired. By adding a second story we were able to double the size of her home to a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath. The small lot presented many space planning challenges but we managed to fit it all and then some - master suite with walk in closet, double shower, double vanity and kitchenette; modern kitchen with sitting area that opens to the back deck; guest suite with its own private bathroom; outdoor shower, storage shed, off street parking and storage galore! Mollie wanted a home that was classic and unique. We accomplished this with an off white and black color scheme, the use of reclaimed wood, exposed cypress beams, and a mix of modern and vintage style fixtures.
